Ok. I can finally say I have a job.
My job is at Famous Stars and Stripes, here in Costa Rica, in the mall.
I got a call at about 9 am. And this woman says. "Maia? Hi, did you ever find a job." Now I understood this as "We're offering you a job." So I go. "Yes! Yes!" She sounded a little upset, and then said "Did you find a job." I realize what she's saying, and I sigh, and say.. "No, I haven't no one seems to want me." She perks up, and says. "I can probably offer you a job. Can you come down to the mall at 11am?"
"Sure, where are you, I sent my appliaction to almost every store there."
"We're at. ( )" I kinda heard it, and kinda didn't. So I said. "Where?"
After about 2 minutes of trying to explain, I realized I didn't understand her. This is a bad sign, so I look to mom. She said no, and I soon gave up, and gave the good old "Fuck you mom" to her. She got pissed and told me to pack my bags, and leave...
SO I ended up understanding her.
Taking a cold shower, and running to get dressed, running out the door. And by some miracle, I made it right to the door, at one minute to 11.
So what my job was? Well, I had to clean glass, mop floor, clean mannequins with carpet cleaner... Then I had to Iron... and Iron... I never want to iron ever again... So my boss, Diego, comes up to me and says. "Can you work some over time?"
"How much boss?"
"Another 6 hours..."
"I would have to ask my mom" What kind of childish thing is that to say?!
But I got away with it because Costa Ricans are very close to their mothers.
But I called mom, and told her.
Then I ended up finishing right at 8 pm... Sigh...

I should go shower now, So I can go back to work.
